The Building Department is responsible for the issuance of all construction permits for the City.  Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure or locate a mobile home shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit.  No work shall be done to any part of a building beyond the point required for each inspection. The enforcement of flood plain management regulations fall within the department’s responsibilities.
